Young Friends

One of the greatest gifts you can give to a nonprofit organization is the gift of time and talent.

Now accepting applications through September 30th, with the final cohort announced in October.

The Program

Our Young Friends board will be composed of individuals in the St. Louis community who would like to become connected to Employment Connection’s mission, programs, impact, and people (board, staff, and clients).

Employment Connection encourages young professionals interested in learning about non-profit governance and operations (including working with a board, strategic planning and budgeting, creating and growing programs, fundraising and event planning to apply for the Young Friends of Employment Connection Board.

Applicant Qualifications

  • Age 25-35

  • Live in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, or St. Clair County

  • Able to make a two year commitment to the Young Friends program

  • Able to attend bi-monthly meetings over the course of 2 years

  • Willing to support the volunteer initiatives at Employment Connection

Program Benefits
