United for Families

Employment Connection is proud to partner with The United Way of Greater St. Louis to assist families in need through its’ United for Families (UFF) program. The UFF program is designed to provide whole-family case management, individualized case management, financial coaching, and emergency financial assistance. UFF’s objective is to help stabilize and support families on their road to restoring self-sufficiency by increasing financial security (helping them achieve family financial stability and economic self-sufficiency), preventing homelessness and displacement, and preventing school mobility challenges for school-age children. UFF aims to work with families that have a household income below 80% of the poverty level and have at least one child who is enrolled in pre-K through high school.

Since July 2023, Employment Connection has enrolled 34 families into UFF. Families have received financial assistance with rent, utilities, car repair, and car note payments.
