Here's just some of what Employment Connection has been up since our last newsletter.

Thank You for a Successful Give STL Day!

Thank you to all of the generous donors who helped us raise over $11,000 on Give STL Day! The Young Friends of Employment Connection hosted a Give STL Day Happy Hour at Earthbound Beer to celebrate the occasion.

With a $5,000 matching donation from our friends at Great Southern Bank, we were able to meet and exceed our goal of raising $10,000 for our programs on Give STL Day!

Cure Violence Programs Honored by FOCUS St. Louis

The Cure Violence program was honored at FOCUS St. Louis’ 25th Annual What’s Right With The Region awards! Wells-Goodfellow/Hamilton Heights Site Manager Charles Hatley and Outreach Supervisor Hassan Shariff were on hand at the Sheldon Theater to represent Employment Connection’s Cure Violence Teams.

The Young Friends of Employment Connection

Employment Connection is proud to announce its founding cohort of Young Friends!

The Young Friends of Employment Connection are a group of civic-minded, caring, and compassionate young professionals between the ages of 25 and 35 who join our mission to break down barriers to self-sufficiency and create a safer and more inclusive St. Louis community. We appreciate your commitment, Young Friends!

Employment Connection's Cheer Team

The EC Cheer Team was created to celebrate events and personal milestones of staff together, bringing us all closer as a team to better serve each other, our clients, and our communities. The Cheer Team has recently celebrated Cardinals opening day, the arrival of a new baby, Mother's Day, Women's History Month, and more!

Our Senior Services Program

Employment Connection offers free maintenance services to help seniors stay in their homes! We provide lawn mowing, landscaping, and exterior debris removal services to keep seniors' homes tidy and safe and allow them to continue living independently.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Employment Connection

The United Way of Greater St. Louis has invited Employment Connection to assign staff to participate in an ongoing UW Blue Ocean Brain Agency Roundtable cohort. This experience has allowed Employment Connection staff to review and openly discuss important and sometimes uncomfortable issues in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion space.
