Employment Connection is celebrating Women’s History Month this March by honoring local leaders in the St. Louis region. Today we recognize Darlene Martin, Director of the Community Investment Division at United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Ms. Martin came to work for the United Way of Greater St. Louis in 2018, starting as a Financial Coach, and now serving as Director of the Community Investment Division. Prior to working for United Way, she spent nearly 37 years in the banking and wealth management fields, progressing in the banking industry from bank teller to Assistant Vice President in Premier Banking where she serviced the financial needs of an affluent clientele. After obtaining certifications and securities licenses that allowed her to serve as a financial advisor, Ms. Martin advanced to Director of Training and Development for a wealth management firm with a presence in multiple states.
Ms. Martin is a St. Louis native and graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in theological studies at Urshan Graduate School of Theology.
