  • Employment Connection is proud to announce that we have been awarded a portion of the 2004 Supportive Housing Program in collaboration with Salvation Army Stratford Commons and Women's Domestic Violence Response.  Employment Connection's responsibilities will be to work with the families in their homes to evaluate their needs, assess progress, make service referrals, and provide support and direction as the families live and function in the community.  In addition, families will be evaluated for their education and employment readiness with services provided by Employment Connection, with job retention a strong component to the services.  The total award by St. Louis County for this project was $1,982,705, with Employment Connection receiving 1,051,373 of this reward.

  • Employment Connection, in partnership with the Center for Women in Transition, has been awarded a grant by the State of Missouri to serve prisoners who have been released through a variety of case management supports including but not limited to employment services. This program will be called Project ReConnect.  Under the program, EC will be the exclusive provider of employment services to all clients who fall under this grant.

We'll get $50,000 a year for three years for a total of $150,000.  The goal of the grant is to work with a small number of CAP clients to help them start their own businesses in some cases home based businesses. We'll be responsible for case management.
